Meet The Characters
Maya Carver
Named after the phenomenal Maya Angelou, Maya Carver is a tenacious and curious 6-year-old who just so happens to be 6.7 minutes younger than her twin brother Marcus. Maya is outspoken and will never miss a chance to be the fastest at getting the right answer. Just like her twin brother, Maya has always had a passion for science and of course, blowing things up! Destined to become Nobel prize winners in physics and chemistry, Maya and her twin brother save their neighborhood from the toxic hands of various villains by using science.
Marcus Carver
Marcus, the older (only by 6.7 minutes...7 when he rounds up) twin brother of Maya is a strong-willed young boy who strives to be victorious in everything he puts his mind to. Marcus, named after the famous Marcus Garvey truly lives up to his namesake and can talk his way out of every single explosion that he and his sister cook up.
Dr. Geneva Jemison
Dr. G’s the name and compost is her game! With the biggest yard on the block, Dr. G was sure to have one of the most abundant and beautiful gardens in the neighborhood. With short curly salt & pepper hair, standing at just 4’11” Dr. G is one of the most respected women in the neighborhood; not only because she’s 70 (and looks 40) but because she is always teaching kids in the neighborhood the importance of fresh fruit and veggies but also how they can grow them in their yard or even inside!
Timothy Jemison
If you see a cloud of black smoke beginning to fill the sky, you can rest assured that little Timothy is somewhere close by. Timothy is the youngest grandson of Dr. G, but you’d never know that from how much pollution his crazy inventions create.
